Changing Secondary Professions - Guild Wars Forums

Hi, right now I am not too pleased with my archer and elementalist combination. I am level 15 at D'Alessio Seaboard and 12 skill points saved. I hear that you have to "get ascended" or something like that to change secondary professions. Could anyone please give me some insight on this? Are there any permanent draw backs to switching secondary professions instead of making a completely new character?

You still have a long time till you can switch your secondary(if you go through all missions). You can get someone to guide you to Santumn clay but when you get to the desert you will be low and unable to find goups. The desert is where you change your secondary profession. I would say your a little far to delete and start over I would just stick with it and change your secondary. If when you change you do not like it you can change back.

In the desert after "ascension" there are side quests for each profession excluding your primary that never changes, which must be completed before you can change to that specific profession.

once all five of these quests are complete, you can change your secondary at will by just visiting the appropriate NPC.

... and you keep any ranger pet you may have had with your secondary.
